Where in the world did this blog go?

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts recently it's a very busy time of the year so I would just like to say, no I have not forgotten the blog and I'm currently working on some new ideas for the blog. I have one idea where I'm going to take some comic book quotes and how you apply them to real life. I also will be doing more comic reviews once I get back to getting comics weekly so be on the look out for that. I also am planning when I have time to do some posts about comic story lines, characters, etc. Also next Friday (Sept. 4) is Force Friday so I'll be trying to post some Star Wars stuff that day. So please just keep checking back and tell you friends to check out the blog! Thanks for all the support!

Also if you have any ideas for something you would like to see me blog about just leave a comment and I will do my best to blog on it!

Disney D23

Over the weekend, Disney hosted it's D23 convention and made some huge announcements. These are what I found to be the most important after the event was over:

  • A ton of new Star Wars new was announced such as a new poster for The Force Awakens, the first cast photo from Rouge One, and my favorite the announcement of Season of the Force in 2016 at Disney parks and that Star Wars land is officially happening in Disney parks.
  • The first footage from Captain America: Civil War was shown and while the wold waits for it to be released according to multiple sources the footage was amazing! with filming ending this week, it's a safe bet we may see some footage soon.
  • The Incredibles 2 poster was on display although no major details were announced.
  • Big Hero 6 will be part of Kingdom Hearts 3!
  • News was revealed for Disney Infinity 3.0 and Star Wars: Battlefront, both of those games release this year.
While I probably missed some details or announcements but then again this was only for what I found to be newsworthy. Hope this helps and please support other sites where they have much more detailed news. Did you have a favorite announcement from D23? Let me know down below in the comments section!

Fantastic Four Review

SPOILERS FOR THE FILM TO FOLLOW!!!

So I promised this review sooner but after watching the film it took a lot of time to process what I had watched. I was honestly going in with doubts but I kept an open mind. I wanted this movie to be great so we could have the crossover with X-Men. We could have the film we were promised. Instead all we got was disappointment. This movie had such good potential in the first act. Aside from some troubling stuff, I was impressed. Then we go straight to the end! What was supposed to be the middle of the film can NOT be justified as a 2nd act. The final act took all but about 5-10 minutes and ripped off the ending of Avengers: Age of Ultron. You could tell where scenes had been reshot and where it just seemed like the movie didn't make sense. It plays out and feels like a very long TV show pilot (may I add this would've made a lot more sense as a TV miniseries). The actors do the best they could to play out the script and I will say they mostly did good. It's not their fault they were stuck with a terrible script, director, studio, etc. Can I also say poor Kate Mara. With the rumored massive budget, it seems they spent most of it doing other stuff and not getting her a decent wig! And don't even get me started on Dr. Doom or Doom or whatever they call him in the movie. And for Pete's sake, WHY IS THE THING NAKED!?!?! WOULD IT REALLY COST THAT MUCH TO AT LEAST PUT SOME PANTS ON HIM!?!? With all complaining aside, to me, it's obvious what Fox needs to do. Count their loses and give the rights back to Marvel. With three failed attempts, it's time to give the world the Fantastic Four movie it deserves. Please do not go watch this movie while it's out! If you can hold off till Blu-Ray or DVD or even $1 Redbox that is your best bet. See anything else!

(This disaster really makes me appreciate Ant-Man more)

If you've seen the movie or not, sound off in the comments and let me know what you think!

Deadpool Trailer Review (plus an announcement)

Yes it's true! We live in a world where Deadpool has his own movie now and the trailer is officially out! And yes the trailers (yes trailers a red band and green band) are everything you've come to expect from Deadpool. I don't want to give an entire breakdown of what happens because words can't describe and don't do justice for the trailer. So be sure to check it out and then comment and let me know what you think!

(PS: Keep checking back the rest of this week as I'll be posting comic reviews of new comics and some from a few weeks ago and on Friday I will be posting my review on the new Fantastic Four movie! So see you back later this week!)

Why We Need A Justice League Video Game

SPOILERS FOR COMICS, MOVIES, AND GAMES AHEAD!!

We live in an age where not only are comics once again a big deal, but video games are also a major part of our lives. Perhaps one of the most widely known and adored video games out there right now is the Arkham series. Now that the series is over, Rocksteady needs to go with this new idea for a new series/game. We need a Justice League video game! If Rocksteady (or any company for that matter) used the right formula it could possibly be the best game of all time. One of the first things that needs to happen is to capture the characters right. Superman needs to be the hero everyone knows and loves. Batman needs to be the vigilante, the Dark Knight. Wonder Woman needs to be the amazing hero that she is. Same for the heroes. We also need the locations of each hero and each one of them needs to be open world. Imagine having Batman fight crime in Central City? Or Superman flying into Gotham? This game writes itself. Story is where it gets tough. I would rather have an original story that brings the League together. I'd love to see some of the best League stories all kind of honored and possibly used. Like elements with the Tower of Babel. It could be a story where the villains frame the heroes and try to get them to turn on each other and the League has to stop them. Or perhaps you could see the story line of New World Order with the League already being established. Or maybe skip  story lines all together and go straight with an original story like Arkham. I'm sure with the right amount of time they could figure out the play scheme but I think single player mixed with co-op if you wanted to, that would be amazing so you could go alone or with friends. And with improved graphics, destructive worlds, and multiple worlds to play in, they could win the world over. Will we ever see a Justice League video game? Who knows, but I would certainly hope that it is in the near future. Comment your thoughts and let me know what you think!

Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde #1 Review

SPOILERS TO FOLLOW

To say that I have been waiting for this comic to release since Secret Wars began would be an understatement. I've been waiting for this comic since the ending of The Black Vortex storyline. Perhaps my (and the internet's) favorite comic couple, Starkat, star in their first comic together but not all is as it seems. Peter Quill is on the run and Kitty is working for Doom, so it's nothing like the Starkat we all love and remember. I can't wait to see where this story leads, especially with the new Marvel series launching in the fall! But for now if you love Starkat, Disney songs, and a great story with great art to go along with it, PICK THIS UP NOW! Don't even consider skipping this one!

(PS: on a side note this is my official tenth blog! I'm super happy to get here with this comic being the subject matter. Please continue to check back for blogs, reviews, etc. and remember to tell your friends. Thanks again and happy reading!)
